Peace Race, 1954

The Peace Race was not only celebrated through the cyclists' feats but also through a rich array of promotional posters. These posters were more than mere advertisements; they were artistic representations of the race's spirit and the era's cultural aesthetics. 

The race was recognized globally under various names, including Friedensfahrt in Germany, Wyścig Pokoju in Poland, Závod Míru in Czechoslovakia, Velogonka Mira in Russia, Preteky Mieru in Slovakia, Course de la Paix in France, and Corsa della Pace in Italy.
